The CDL is the perfect choice for meeting the time and temperature criteria for EPA Class A composting or USDA organic NOP standards. The battery-powered probe automatically records temperatures at intervals of up to two hours, storing up to 16,000 temperature readings; the LCD always displays the last stored reading. Data sets can be downloaded via serial cable from the probe to a laptop in the field, or to a desktop computer in the office. The data can then be graphed and printed using the Compost Lab™ software for Class A certification.
The rugged stainless steel probe, with its weatherproof head, is built to withstand the corrosive conditions of composting. The full system includes the data-logging probe, a PC-link cable and the Compost Lab software. It is ideal for new or existing commercial compost operations and research programs. The Data Probe will keep a watchful eye on temperatures in any kind of compost system.
