The Alber PSC-10A is a programmable smart charger for use when a single cell needs a boost or equalization charge. It charges a single 2V cell either online or offline. This charge may be required to bring a single cell up to an average of cells in an active string, or may be used on spare cells (cells not installed in an active battery string).

The PSC-10A has an internal memory to log the voltages at beginning of cycle, at equalization, and at end of cycle. It also logs ten measurements across equal time divisions throughout the equalization period. In case of an emergency, the charger may be manually shut down.

Data and the test profile are displayed on an LCD graphic display. The unit is self-contained, AC powered, and fully isolated from the power line by use of an isolation transformer. The unit comes complete with leads.
