The MECC series of chambers is designed for safe containment and removal of suspect objects possibly containing explosives, toxic materials or a combination of both. The MECC is gas-tight with possibility to sample gases before they are safely released after detonation. The MECC´s are designed to withstand repetitive detonations up to the maximum amount of explosives specified.
The MECC´s are intended to be used at airports and in conjunction with existing baggage
handling systems (BHS). The MECC´s can be integrated with most BHSs and X-ray
equipments available.
The operating of the MECC´s is done by one person remotely from a safe distance or if
integrated with the BHS, from the BHS-control panel. By pressing one button the MECC´s
are automatically opened and the conveyer belt inside the MECC´s is brought out into
position to bring the suspect item(s) into the chamber.
